Breadsall Hilltop Primary School

As part of a multi-million pound project to bring the Infant and Junior Schools at Breadsall together to form one school capable of providing education from ages  3 to 11.

The project created new classrooms, overhauled existing ones and upped the potential pupil capacity by a further 210 places.

The only issue was the fact that the buildings needed in some way to be linked to bring a feeling of togetherness to the school.

Broxap were invited to provide a solution that met the budget and solved the problem.

A series of Newcastle Monopitch walkways designed and installed by Broxap now give the school that feeling of ‘togetherness’ along with the health and wellbeing of staff and pupils traversing between each building of the school.

Headteacher Mr Pierce said:

“It wasn’t really part of the initial plan to connect up all the buildings but I felt it was essential on the grounds of health and wellbeing and to give a greater feeling of togetherness.

“The walkways, which were hard to integrate into the plans and the budget, will mean that all the buildings will be linked and easily accessible.”
