Cycle parking for 96 bicycles has been installed as part of the delivery of a purpose-built new school site.
Broxap Street Furniture worked with contractor Wates Construction to provide seating, litter bins and door barriers as well as the cycle parking provision.
The Eden Boys Leadership Academy, in Alum Rock, Birmingham East, is an 700-place Muslim faith-based school led by Star Academies.
The new school, for 11 to 18-year-olds, includes a three-storey teaching block, sports hall and winter and summer sports pitches.
As well as 94 car parking spaces on site, equal weight has been given to green travel parking.
Broxap designed, manufactured and installed four Cambridge Junior Cycle Shelters for the site. Their galvanised steel frames were powder coated black, and clear roof cladding applied.
The shelters house mild steel Senior Sheffield Cycle Racks. The eight racks each have capacity for 12 cycles.
Under a supply only contract, seven Door Barriers were also delivered to site as well as three Eros Litter Bins.
Seven Timperley concrete benches, in white with a dressed finish, completed the modern outdoor facilities.
Eden Boys’ Leadership Academy has been built on the former site of medical products manufacturer Smith & Nephew. It was approved to help address a shortage of school places in Birmingham.
