Gosforth Park First School wanted a bright and colourful canopy that would bring joy to the children and enhance the overall appearance of the school.

As well as providing an outdoor learning area and a covered play space, the canopy created by our design and build team proved ideal for hosting activities at the school throughout the year.

The scheme makes use of our popular Coventry Gullwing design, which has been clad with elements to add a unique twist.

The manufacturing process involved creating a sturdy and durable structure using high-quality materials that could withstand the test of time. Our team carefully selected materials including hard-wearing steel, cladded with sturdy timber to ensure the canopy was weather-resistant, easy to maintain and would last for years to come.

The addition of timber cladding over the steel provides a warm and tactile material, which is more suitable for schools, as the steel can get very cold during the winter months. This makes the structure safer for children to play under and around.

We used a range of colours to create the rainbow roof, carefully selecting shades that would blend seamlessly together. The final result was a stunning structure that featured a vibrant vinyl design, with the colours creating a beautiful and eye-catching display.

The canopy was installed by our team at the primary school, along with our Whitwell Benches, Apollo Cycle Shelters, Sheffield Cycle Stands.

The reaction from the students and teachers was overwhelmingly positive, and the bright and cheerful design added a wonderful splash of colour to the school's outdoor area.
