Interchange Retail Park, Bedford

The installation of new benches and bins at the Interchange Retail Park in Bedford was a much-needed improvement for the area. The outdoor shopping centre, which was previously lacking in seating and waste disposal options, saw a noticeable increase in foot traffic and customer satisfaction after the installation.

Before the installation, customers had to carry their waste around until they found a bin or had to leave it on the ground, resulting in unsightly litter around the shopping centre. The lack of seating also made it difficult for customers to take a break while shopping or waiting for someone.

A selection of Steel & Timber Benches were designed and manufactured at our Central HQ in Chesterton. The galvanised steel finish ensured the benches were durable and long-lasting, and the timber slats gave the benches a modern and sleek look. These benches paved the way to our new Blox Bench seating range.

Broxap’s Derby Slimline Litter Bins were strategically placed in high-traffic areas to reduce the amount of litter on the floor around the retail park. Powder-coated in ultramarine blue (RAL 5002) with contrasting white lettering and orange graphics, the bins added a pop of colour to the retail park.

The new benches and bins improved customer experience and had a positive impact on the shopping centre’s business. The improved appearance of the area attracted more customers and increased foot traffic.
