Parsloes Park is a 58-hectare public park in Dagenham in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. Located in the heart of a residential area, the park features an ornamental lake, a bowling green, tennis courts, 23 football pitches and a basketball court. There is also a newly constructed playground that features mounds, natural rock seats, a teenage shelter, and floodlights for winter use.

Recently, 29 specimen trees have been planted, making the park's wildlife an attraction for young and older people alike.

In late 2023, a £12.8million state-of-the-art sports centre also opened at Parsloes Park, commemorating 1966 World Cup winning captain Bobby Moore. The new hub has 16 grass pitches, two 3G pitches and a National League stadia pitch with seating for spectators, as well as a gym, fitness studio, café, and meeting rooms to for hire.

To complement all that the park has to offer, Broxap designed and supplied several of our Andromeda Smog Eater benches.

These benches purify the air around them by breaking down pollutants in the atmosphere, including nitrogen oxide and PM10 fine dust, embodying the city's vision for a greener future. This is done through photocatalysis, a naturally occurring process that speeds up oxidation found in nature by using light energy.

The sleek and modern design of the smog eater benches adds to the natural beauty of the park, blending seamlessly with the landscape.

The project has demonstrated that with creativity and collaboration, it is possible to make meaningful strides towards environmental sustainability while enhancing community spaces.
