The Royal Marines, also known as the Royal Marines Commandos and officially as the Corps of Royal Marines, are the UK's special operations capable commando force, one of the five fighting arms of the Royal Navy. They are experts in amphibious warfare, providing landing craft, amphibious assault and training, and a company strength unit to the Special Forces Support Group.

Broxap recently completed a project at the Royal Marines Commando Training Centre involving the installation of new cycle parking infrastructure. The project aimed to provide secure and weather-protected parking facilities for the increasing number of cyclists at the training centre.

We designed a custom cycle shelter, based on the design of our ever-popular Blox A open front shelter, to provide protection from the elements while blending in with the training centre's surroundings.

The shelter was manufactured at our Chesterton factory using cantilevered modular FSC® (FSC-C122338) timber with galvanised and powder-coated steel frames to ensure durability and longevity.

A Senior Sheffield Cycle Rack was also added to allow cyclists to lock their bicycles securely. The Sheffield cycle rack has been designed for easy accessibility and optimised space utilisation, allowing for the efficient parking of 10 bicycles within the area.

Having chosen Broxap for a full installation service, our experienced and professional team ensured that the new shelter was securely anchored and integrated seamlessly with the surroundings.

Trainees and staff were pleased to have a dedicated and secure space to store their bicycles, promoting a more sustainable mode of transportation while contributing to the centre's overall environmental initiatives.

This project exemplifies Broxap's commitment to delivering tailored solutions that meet our client's current needs and adapt to ever-evolving requirements.
