As part of a continuing framework with TfGM (Transport for Greater Manchester) Broxap were invited to design and install the new secure Cycle Hub at Oldham Mumps.
This Cycle Hub featured the Broxap Hi-Rise Two Tier cycle parking system housed within the standard style TfGM secure Hub (Broxap have supplied many of these Hubs across the Greater Manchester area ) however this Hub featured Broxap’s Hi-Rise Two Tier System, allowing cycle parking in upper and lower formations.
TfGM this time opted to install the ‘Lift Assist’ version of the Hi-Rise, this version has a gas strut fitted to the rear of the upper trough, this allows for a weight reduction in the trough when the user parks the cycle in the tough and lifts it up into the upper parking position.
Jennifer Sweeney – Project Manager Transport for Greater Manchester, was in attendance for an official opening along with Councillor Naeem Hassan, Councillor Chris Paul – Cycling and Walking Champion for the TfGM Committee, Cathy Jackson – Transport Policy Officer, Martin Sutton – Manager Positive Cycles.
