The Briars Housing Estate in Essex is in the midst of a complete overhaul.

The old outdated 1960’s built housing estate is being completely demolished, and built back up from its roots.

The aim of the project is to build a modern, and energy efficient estate, which above all complements the attitudes of the surrounding communities.

The new houses exude modernity and any new street furniture needed to do the same.

That is why Broxap’s Litchard Steel Framed Benches were chosen to provide seating for the public.

These timber, steel framed benches are a far cry from the traditional look ‘park benches’ which we have all come to know and love.

These alternative, aesthetically pleasing pieces of street furniture echo the modern vision which is so evident in the construction of this estate.

Furthermore, the timber materials which have been used within the bench, complement the natural ‘green space’ surroundings. They also add an element of rural living to this area.

Community lies at the heart of this project, and these large, benches will provide a meeting spot for local residents.

Alternatively, they can provide dog walkers, the elderly, joggers and the youth with a place to rest. Something which is extremely important in promoting outdoor activities.
