The Lawn Pleasure Ground, Sutton-in-Ashfield

Loading... 6 view(s)

The Lawn, also known as Sutton Lawn, is in Sutton in Ashfield and is on the site of the former Sutton Hall. The park is mainly comprised of grassed areas with areas of woodland and avenues of trees and is well used by anglers and walkers.

The park boasts many amenities including a MUGA, outdoor gym, bowling greens, tennis courts and toddler & junior play areas. The Lawn also holds a Green Flag Award – an international accreditation given to publicly accessible parks and open spaces, managed under licence from the Department for Levelling Up by Keep Britain Tidy.

As part of their commitment to keep the pleasure ground tidy, clean and free of litter, the council invested in ten new litter bins. The Derby Eros Litter Bin by Broxap is a heavy duty, robust galvanised steel litter bin.

Coated with Broxap’s advanced, eco-friendly PROTEXTM primer and topcoat powder coating system to external surfaces, PROTEXTM employs a nano-coating pre-treatment and achieves BS EN 13438:2013 compliance for superior levels of corrosion protection.

The bins stand out due to their unique finishing, featuring laser-cut logos and text. Under each aperture the text reads 'The Lawns', while the middle of the bin displays a laser-cut love heart logo. These bins providing park users with more opportunities to dispose of their waste responsibly, helping to keep the green space litter-free and enjoyable for all.
