Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30, with half hour lunch break.

The Role:
Based at our Chesterton site, we are looking for Laser CAD CAM Programmer who can programme our laser cutting machine and bend paths for our ATC Amada pressbrakes.
Key Responsibilities:

Creating 2D CNC CAD programs with the use of Amada CAD/CAM software.

Programming our laser cutting machine and bending paths for our ATC Amada pressbrakes

Nesting parts to ensure and maintain a very high percentage of material utilisation.

Working closely with the machine operatives to ensure that:

Accurate programs are being cut in the correct order, maintaining an efficient supply of cut parts to the next stage of manufacture.

Laser cut parts are clearly labelled and have the correct WO attached to the parts / pallets.

The laser machine is suitably programmed and stocked to run through the night.

Continuously developing strategies to improve efficiencies and costs.
Experience and Required Skills:
- Experience programming laser, CNC and/or press brake machinery.
- Have previous experience of using nesting software.
- Previous work experience within the manufacturing /sheet metal industry.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings.
