Press Brake Operative

About Us:

Broxap is a successful family owned business and are the UK market leaders in the design and manufacture of Street Furniture, Litter Bins, and Shelters.  Due to expansion, we require an experienced Press Brake Operator.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm, Friday 7.30am to 1.30pm - additional hours as may be required

Holidays: 25 days holiday entitlement, plus 8 bank holidays

The Role:

The successful candidate would be required to set and operate an Amada CNC press brake, coupled with the ability to:

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and work from engineering drawings

• Handle material safely
• Manual lift metal sheets
• Quality check through all stages of production

• Assist in departmental housekeeping

• Be available for overtime work when required

Experience and Required Skills:

• Use Vernier’s/Protractors

• Be quality focussed and able to check own work as a matter of course
• Be skilled in bending complex shapes

Having a sheet metal and welding background with experience of operating an Amada HFE would be advantageous but is not essential as training will be provided.
